I am making file folder games for my classroom and looked at various laminating pouches to protect the games/game pieces. These were by far the best deal, so I bought them thinking that I wouldn't be out too much money if they were not that good. Well I was pleasantly surprised to see what a great job they did! I had to play with the machine temperature a little to find which temperature worked best with the pages I was using in the laminating pouches. Once I had the appropriate temperature, I never experienced any problems with the pouches. Everything came out crystal clear without any bubbles! I plan to order more to finish all my file folder games and for other classroom purposes.

I am on my 3rd and 4th box of these laminating pouches. For the first two boxes (qty. of 100), there was no problem. I was very pleased with the results. However, when I started into the 3rd box, I noticed that when the laminated page came out of the laminator, the trailing end of the page (as it exits the laminator) was not aligned properly. Even though, when the laminating pouch started into the laminator it was perfectly aligned, when it came out, it was misaligned. In other words, the top half of the laminate plastic did not align very well with the bottom half of the plastic. There was approximately 1/8" offset at the trailing edge of the laminated page.

I initially thought my laminator had a problem. I tried several laminating pouches with the same result - bad alignment on the trailing edge of the laminated page. Then I tried a couple of laminating pouches from the 4th box - same problem. I happened to find one remaining laminating pouch from box #2 and tried it. It came out perfectly aligned (best I could tell). So, immediately after, I tried another laminating pouch from box #3. It came out badly misaligned. Next, I tried a 3 mil laminating pouch that I happened to have. It came out perfectly aligned. Immediately after, I tried another 5 mil pouch from box #4. It came out badly misaligned.

My experimental results strongly indicate that there is a problem with the laminating pouches in boxes #3 and #4. Based on my results, my conclusion is that an undetected variation in the production process has occurred, resulting in a misalignment of the top and bottom halves of the laminating pouch. Boxes 1 and 2 produced perfectly aligned laminates; boxes 3 and 4 produced badly misaligned laminates.

One more brief update: I happened to find one more laminating pouch from box #2. I had previously thrown it away because it was dusty. I wiped it off and tried it. It came out perfectly aligned. Immediately after, I tried 2 more laminating pouches - one from box #3 and one from box #4. They both came out badly misaligned. Next, I tried another 3 mil laminating pouch that I happened to have. It came out perfectly aligned. The evidence is very consistent that the laminating pouches in boxes #3 and #4 are defective.

I use a lot of lamitation. The quality of this produce is great. The only thing I need to make sure the green has been on for about 3minutes to make sure you have a good seal.
